[MPlayer-users] Bug in libdvdread 4.1.4-svn1219

I have new DVD from the German National Sender ARD which plays back
perfectly with Kaffeine (1.1) and VLC (1.1.5). And I can RIP a perfect
track copy with mencoder (0.4.1) although mencoder throws out a zillion
error messages during ripping.

The playback on a hardware DVD or Blueray player is wobbly. The DVD is
new and not scratched.

Mplayer (1.0-0.117.20100703svn), dvd::rip and dvdbackup cannot list any
tracks.

Although I can see the dvd contents in krusader (2.01) or Dolphin
(4.5.4), when I copy the files only the first 3% are copied.

Here are the error messages from lsdvd which points to libdvdread as the
culprit:

[simon at hp550-01 ~]$ lsdvd /dev/sr0 | grep Longest
libdvdread: Using libdvdcss version 1.2.10 for DVD access
libdvdread: Ignored size of file indicated in UDF.

*** libdvdread: CHECK_VALUE failed in
/home/simon/rpmbuild/BUILD/libdvdread-4.1.4/src/ifo_read.c:1844 ***
*** for pgcit->nr_of_pgci_srp < 10000 ***

*** libdvdread: CHECK_VALUE failed in
/home/simon/rpmbuild/BUILD/libdvdread-4.1.4/src/ifo_read.c:1175 ***
*** for vts_ptt_srpt->nr_of_srpts != 0 ***

libdvdread: Invalid IFO for title 8 (VTS_08_0.BU).
Can't open ifo 8!
[simon at hp550-01 ~]$

Unfortunately the error message from libdvdread is the check
requirements - not the actual values read from the dvd.

I am using fedora 13 x86_64.

Any ideas?

Simon
