[MPlayer-users] Trouble compiling MPlayer on OS X Lion 10.7.2

For some reason, MPlayer now thinks that my binutils version is too old and not supported.

I am compiling MPlayer (latest from repository) on my OS X Lion box using gcc 4.2.

Because of this error, compilation does not proceed past the ./configure step.

This is the following error that I get from the ./configure file:
