[MPlayer-users] trying to use mplayer with knoppix ...

 then I tried "mplayer -vfm help" again I got the same results. I
found that w32codecs were actually installed in

 /ramdisk/usr/lib/codecs

 but since I am using knoppix I took all these files and put them in a
hard drive directory

 Now how can I specify in my mplayer.conf or codecs.conf to find the
codecs in that directory?

 Also what else should I change? I don't know how mplayer.conf and
codecs.conf should look like
