Hello.

In Ubuntu 10.10 on an Acer 3600 Revo Ion, I am playing videos from a
playlist with mplayer in slave mode.

After each video has finished playing (between videos), the desktop
background is visible for a fraction of a second.

Is there a way to keep mplayer running between videos so it doesn't
stop and display this background?

The background is actually green due to nvidia driver.

Maybe -ontop, main/sub window color, or background image can be used???

Here is my mplayer command line string:

DISPLAY=:0 mplayer -ao alsa:device=hw=0.3 -fs -noborder -slave -quiet
-idle -loop 0 -playlist /home/barry/playlist1.txt -shuffle -input
file=/home/barry/pipe &

Thanks in advance,
Barry
