Thank you very much for fixing it quickly, ran 
$ svn update
and I have installed yasm via yum and reran ./configure this time with yasm enabled :)  .  If you won't mind or others, what does yasm do?
Does it make mplayer work better?  I have successfully ran 
$ ./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-largefiles -yasm='' 
or similar.
