[MPlayer-users] ProRes display on Leopard

Hi all,

this is my first post here.

Here is my problem :
I have to run mplayer/mencoder on macos and linux for scripting a process
with Apple ProRes files.
1) With my linux box, a fresh compilation of mplayer-svn (r32438) plays fine
prores (with -vo X11 in place of opengl)
2) With osx, the same sources seems to work but ...
I can't find a correct command line setting (-vo and format, I gess) to have
a view
I have tried many combinations with X11, quartz, corevideo and -vf
scale=...,format=...
Sometimes I can see a 1/10 second green or white frame, or the file just
starting with audio only.

3) on osx, files with other codec, plays and displays fine with -vo quartz.
4) on osx, ffmpeg, from the same svn, fails to compile. I run the one from
macport/ffmpeg-devel ( r25102, swscale_rev r32106 ) .

5) on osx, mencoder crash and return an empty file ( doesn't make sense for
me, as mencoder need no graphic display).
