[MPlayer-users] mplayer and midi files

Hi everyone

I have a problem playing midi files on web sites - using Firefox 3.5
At the moment I'm using mozplugger with Timidity - but it only works 
sometimes.

 From the command line I can do
  'mplayer -msglevel all=0 -nolirc -dumpstream tune.mid; cat stream.dump 
| timidity - '
and it works OK

Is there a better way?

Is there a way to get gnome-mplayer-plugin to do a similar thing.
