No real idea, sorry. I don't use the Windows version. On Linux there  
are a couple of config files in /etc/mplayer or ~/.mplayer

I apologise that my response is not *terribly* helpful, however  
responded because I saw one of your questions and felt immediately  
able to answer it. Fonts DO have a valid use in a video player.
