Could you please file a bug report to them? A public header file that doesn't
compile on its own is just stupid, maybe they should just run something
like "make checkheaders" on their system headers before a release?
Preferably with different flags like -std=c99 and -DPOSIX...

I'd bee slightly in favour of adding some standard includes to
header_check. While Linux (finally) managed to mostly get its act
together, the system headers of most operating systems are, to be honest,
at a rather pathetic level of quality.
