AFAIK, that is how a lot of binocular projection systems work: left-eye and
right-eye images are projected alternatively at twice the framerate, and LCD
glasses blind alternatively the right eye and the left eye of the watchers.
I do not know the kind of subliminal channel used to synchronize the glasses
and the screen.
