Folks,

I'm having trouble getting mplayer to use the subtitle and audio
languages I select.  I'm using a daily snapshot I downloaded today, and
I'm running it like:

mplayer dvdnav://0 -dvd-device /dev/dvd -msglevel identify=6 -alang 'en'
-slang 'en'

Which gives the output in the attached file mplayer_chapter_0.txt 

Interestingly, if I run it on chapter 1 instead of 0, I get the output
in the attached file mplayer_chapter_1.txt, and it correctly selects the
language.  

The debug "libdvdnav: Checking 1 languages" in mplayer_chapter_0.txt is
mine - I've had a quick look to see if I could see anything obvious.

I'm wondering if the difference is down to incorrect data in the pgci
table on this DVD for chapter 0 (as used in libdvdnav/vm/vm.c, func
get_MENU_PGCIT).  The libdvdread code seems to disbelieve that table,
(stream_dvd.c, func open_s) preferring to calculate the number of audio
and subtitle languages itself.

Any help much appreciated,
