Not in this case :-( It still stops.

Is there a way to start encoding from a certain point in the source file? If so I could reencode to two files and merge them afterwarts. For example if frame 2032 is the problem:

# encoding up to the problem
mencoder movie.avi -end_point 2031 -o part1.avi

# encoding after the problem
mencoder movie.avi -start_point 2033 -o part2.avi
