Please scratch that, sorry. The patch in
<http://lists.mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/ffmpeg-devel/2010-December/101673.html>
fixes both the high CPU load and (mostly) the search issue. "Mostly"
means that there is an offset of about +3 seconds to expected search
positions after pressing an arrow key.
