All,

I've been trying to have mplayer do some seeking in a rtsp stream and
I'm not having much luck.

For example if I do this command

mplayer rtsp://www.largo.com/ws_2010_0819-item3.ra

And then I push the up arrow, the video pauses for 1 minute and then
starts playing 1 minute later in the stream (same thing with right arrow
except the delay is 10 seconds). Left arrow works, but not down arrow.
Is there any way of reducing the seek delay? Perhaps down to 10 seconds
or so? While I am waiting for the seek to complete I get many "Cache not
filling!"

Having a huge cache seems to help, but it make the initial startup
longer. And eventually once you seek past the cache it reverts to the
above behavior.

Thanks,

Kevin
