[MPlayer-users] TV timeshifting

Hi,

I have tried searching both google and this mailing list to no avail.
I would like to record TV and at the same time play it with the ability to
pause and seek backward and forward.

I have tried with several different encoding options, but when I play the
file (while it is beeing created) and try to seek, mplayer just tells me
that the stream is not seekable.

When I stop mencoder and then play the file, there are no problems at all. I
can seek all I want.

My question is: How do I get mencoder to create a stream that is seekable
while it is beeing created?
