Hi,
I've been working with the output of the Export Audio Filter and I'm not
quite sure what I am looking at with the values coming out, could some
one clear it up a little.
When I play an mp3 file, I'm capturing the data from the file and
storing it in an array that is a guint16 and [2][512] I know that the
number of channels and the size requested can affect that but I'm
assuming 2 channel audio and 512 16bit values for this and I am getting
some data out... however alot of that data seems to be vales under about
2000 and then a big gap (usually, sometimes it gets filled in) and then
a lot of data in the 62000 range and higher. So basically I have a U
shaped graph.
So am I even looking at the data right? I just need help understanding
what I am getting. I can provide my code if needed. Also I am wondering
if I need to run this data thru some FFT to get it usable.
Thanks,
Kevin
