That was my script 8-)). Here it is if anyone interested in.
A parameter is an appropriate font.desc filename. At that time I 
fixed only cp1251 and koi8-r.

P.S. BTW, IIRC bitmap font were declared obselete and support was 
removed from mplayer permanently.
