Try:
mplayer -lavdopts threads=2 test1.mpg -vf pullup
Not saying that is the solution for your particular video, but on some
videos I have that are from film at 24fps and watching at 29.970 fps I
noticed this problem with svn 27514 and that first frame was ok, then
next 2 were mangled.
I see your video is:
VIDEO: MPEG2 720x480 (aspect 2) 29.970 fps 7200.0 kbps (900.0 kbyte/s)
Possible it is really 24 fps original?
