This message is off topic. You should be posting on
mplayer-cygwin at mplayerhq.hu for Windows related questions. That forum deals
with Cygwin and MingW. DVDNAV seems to work pretty good on the Linux
platform.

You should realize that dvdnav is a work in progress. Best results more than
likely will be found using the Linux on the i386 architecture.  If you want
questions answered using dvdnav, your best bet is to stick with the latest
SVN. But in answer to your question,  you need to compile and install your
own libdvdnav. And you also need to install and compile your own libdvdread.
When using the libdvdnav you need to set the --disable-dvdread-internal
option when running configure. So I guess the real question is: do I have my
libdvdread configured correctly?
