Anyway, please show the result of;

# ldd mplayer | grep libdvdnav

In my case;

masaru at linux:~> ldd /usr/local/bin/mplayer | grep libdvdnav
        libdvdnavmini.so.4 => /usr/local/lib/libdvdnavmini.so.4 (0x00007f51f2c55000)

masaru at linux:~> ls -l /usr/local/lib/libdvdnav*
