[MPlayer-users] DVD spins fast and loud

Hi,

I'm using Mplayer on Win XP because the Windows Media player won't play 
movies full screen. Mplayer plays them great. However, the entire time 
the movie is playing the DVD is spinning very fast, and it is loud, and 
irritating.

This seem like what happens when ripping a disk: the disk spins really 
fast during the ripping operation, but just playing a disk is 
essentially silent.

How do I get Mplayer to just play the movie without spinning the DVD at 
a high speed?
