[MPlayer-users] MPlayer can't read radio streams anymore

Hi,
here's a weird problem I'm having since last Friday or so, although I
didn't change anything in the configuration of MPlayer or other parts of
my computer lately. I use to rip radio streams e.g. like this:
oggenc -q 5 -o outfile.ogg outfile.pipe & mplayer -ao pcm:file=outfile.pipe
rtsp://rmv8.bbc.net.uk/radio3/early_music_show/earlymusic_sun.ra\?BBC-UID=64a875a6ee17676902bd2c7880d096c8914f317e20701114744fd8017f0b6645_n\&SSO2-UID=
(all in one line of course) or simply
mplayer rtsp://...
and that used to work just fine. But now I get the messages shown at the
bottom. The strange thing here is the timeouts and the trying through of
different ports, which didn't occur previously AFAIR. The timeout time
seems to be at its maximum.
The problem doesn't seem to be a malformed URL, because it occurs not only
with BBC stuff, but also with other radio stations, while accessing the
same material via RealPlayer works as usual and within a short time
interval (i.e. no timeout issues).
I don't even know where to start looking for the cause. Can anybody please
tell me what might be going on and how to solve it?
Thanks,
Thomas
