Uh, http_proxy as the name suggests is for http, and such proxies can not work
with rtsp. If you can find a mms URL, that might work through a http proxy at
least in theory, though if MPlayer supports it is another question.
And since your subject line already uses the word "torify", have you
tried the script "torify" (a tsocks wrapper)?
