[MPlayer-users] Unbinding keybinds

How do you unbind keybinds? If I remove the entry from the copied over  
input.conf that is in ~/.mplayer/ it just reverts to the default  
internal. Specifically I want to unbind / and * which are by default  
volume -1 and volume +1 respectively. Apparently it also reverts if  
you just leave the key info blank, or if you put in invalid commands.  
I tried volume, volume 0, volume +0, and they all revert back to the  
defaults. The one thing that did work is to give it a gibberish  
command that isn't one. That seems to work, is this hack way the only  
way of doing it?
