I have a very strange problem with playing back a DV avi file. I
transcoded the original file with MEncoder for a friend with the
following commandline:

,----
| mencoder -o "<OUT_FILE>" -af resample=48000:0:2,channels=2 \
| -srate 48000 -oac pcm -ofps 25 -xy 720 -zoom \
| -vf scale,expand=720:576,harddup,dsize=4/3 \
| -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=dvvideo -ffourcc dvsd "<IN_FILE>"
`----

However, the file produces a blank screen with mplayer with no errors in
the console:

,----[ Output from mplayer ]
| AVI file format detected.
| [aviheader] Video stream found, -vid 0
| [aviheader] Audio stream found, -aid 1
| AVI: ODML: Building ODML index (2 superindexchunks).

| AO: [alsa] 48000Hz 2ch s16le (2 bytes per sample)

`----

It plays back fine with programs that usings xine as the engine. My
mplayer version is dev-SVN-r27240-4.2.1. Have anyone else encountered
play back problems with DV's lately?

Thanks.

Charles
