Sorry, I meant no disrespect.

Well the svn source compiled cleanly with your patch
and my custom cflags, and mplayer and all its
frontends run stably. However, I'm not certain you're
aware of this but when that patch is used, mplayer
compiles without mmx2 support. When I issue
"mplayer", it specifically states:

$ mplayer
MPlayer dev-SVN-r26108-10.1 (C) 2000-2008 MPlayer Team
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.10GHz (Family:
6, Model: 13, Stepping: 8)
MMX2 supported but disabled
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 0 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 1
SSE2: 1
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX SSE SSE2
117 audio & 241 video codecs

I know I compiled it with the mmxext use flag enabled.
I can't code, but I can test, so if there's any
changes you'd like to make to the source, just know
I'm available.

All the best,
Sam
