[MPlayer-users] No video output on ivtv/v4l2 TV out

I am trying to get mplayer (latest source from svn) to send output
to the TV out of a Hauppauge PVR-350 with "-vo ivtv".

Mplayer obviously thinks everything is alright, discovers the correct
devices and "plays" (see output below), but there is no visible output.
The same happens with "-vo v4l2".

The hardware setup is working. When I use "-vo fbdev" or fvdev2,
I also get visible output (only my machine is not nearly fast enough).
When I start an X server on the ivtv framebuffer, mplayer also displays
its output on it.

Any idea what is going wrong?

(Btw. "-ao ivtv"/v4l2 isn't working, either: It always complains
"can only handle MPEG audio streams" even with mpeg audio
created by the very same card)
