I dont know how to do it, it was in IRC in #mplayer that i was told about that
mencoder command to be able to save into new video file with the subtitles
transcoded into the video file, since the dvd player when using separate
subtitles files display the subtitles in a very small font, so that why i
asked how to save into a new video file with the subtitles tanscoded.
But so far you havent gived one suggestion on about to do it.
Lately i asked how to save into divx format since dvd player can only handle
mpeg4, divx and mp3 for sound and i was told to run this:
mencoder foo.avi -oac copy -ovc lavc -ffourcc DX50 -sub faa.srt -subcp
iso-8859-15 -font /usr/share/fonts/TTF/dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf -subfont-text-scale
3 -o foo_new.avi
