[MPlayer-users] stereo audio channels losing sync?

I use MPlayer to listen to some  windows media audio streams from a
few radio stations,
but I find that sometimes the 2 stereo channels get out of sync, so
there is an echo. Like the
left channel is a few milliseconds behind the right channel.
Any ideas how to re-sync the two channels?
The two channels seem to start of in-sync, but then lose sync as they go
until it becomes non-listenable.

Or is it possible to just disable the stereo, so I just listen in mono?
