[MPlayer-users] compile mplayer

Hello:

I am trying to compile the latest mplayer source.  It used to compile ok on
the same computer (Kubuntu 8.04) but now it fails with the error:

I've seen this error before on the list, but there was no reply to that user
(it was July this year)

any help is appreciated
