Hi there,

I think you're mistaken. I have completely removed my libdvdnav &  
libdvdread directories and checked out afresh exactly as you describe  
above. And I still get the same thing.

Could I ask you to grep your own source directories with `grep -Ri   
4.1.2 *`, please?
I get many hits.
Some seem to indicate my compiler is gcc v 4.1.2, but others suggest  
to me that this is what the latest version of libdvdnav (assuming the  
above svn checkout commands are correct) should show, eg:
   ChangeLog:libdvdnav (4.1.2)
   config.mak:SHLIB_VERSION=4.1.2
   configure2:dvdnav_sh_version=4.1.2
   ...
   obj/dvdnav.pc:Version: 4.1.2
   obj/dvdnav.pc:Requires.private: dvdread >= 4.1.2
