Use -sid.  -sid 0 (the default subtitle stream) works in most cases for
English, but sometimes you have to go -sid 1 or -sid 2  (I've seen cases
where -sid 0 subs written text only, or contains a sub for the
commentary track, or even only subs the op and ed, go figure)
