[MPlayer-users] playing the multicast stream in mplayer from a circular file

You could have a look at www.mythtv.org, the older versions of mythtv 
did have a continuous written file, for live-tv, which never got larger 
than a user-definable size. So if you receive at 2GB/hour, you were able 
to seek back, pause and so on.
