In The Netherlands, we call it a beamer too.

Wikipedia says:

Beamer is slang for:

Video projector, a pseudo-anglicism in a number of languages including 
German and Dutch.

And there's also:

which redirects to Videoprojector :) (which is one word in Dutch)
