Thanks, I'll try that. But what strengthens my theory about the bad
sectors issue is that I can copy the VOBs from the one DVD that can be
played with MPplayer, but I cannot copy the VOBs e.g. to /tmp/ from the
DVD that cannot be played with MPlayer... this really smells like bad
sectors. And the funny thing, as mentioned, Xine can play the DVD with
the inaccessible VOBs/sectors...
