Ok, finally went through to get it compiled and working (had to comment
out a printf in libdvdcss to do that - apparently this was the problem
with my linking to external dvdread all the time, but:
When playing with dvdnav://, I still get

Remember to disable MPlayer's cache when playing dvdnav:// streams
(adding -nocache to your command line)
DVDNAV, switched to title: 1
And no information about the subtitle tracks or the audio tracks
whatsoever...
