[MPlayer-users] MPlayer codec RPMs?

  I noticed that a new version of the codec tarballs is available as of 
20071007.  Could these be packaged as RPMs, similar to 
mplayer-codecs-20061022-1.*.rpm and 
mplayer-codecs-extra-20061022-1.*.rpm in the codecs directory?  And if 
possible, could they be linked to directly from the download page?  
AFAIK I'm the only one who even knows of their existence, even though 
they are far more convenient and foolproof to install on RPM-based 
distros than the tarballs.
