Hello everyone, my name is Leonardo and I suscribed to the list a couple of days ago because I
have the following issue.

I was trying to use the -rootwin command when playing videos and I only get audio output.
My config file is set to vo = xv
I'm on Kubuntu Gutsy and my MPlayer was installed from the repositories. The version is: MPlayer
2:1.0~rc1-0ubuntu11

This is the output of mplayer -rootwin anyfile.avi

I don't see any problem there that would show why the video is not rendering.

I also tried to use mplayer as a background drawing program in KDE, from the KDE desktop
background configuration (I'm not exactly sure how that is called in English, my system is in
Spanish). The same happened when I tried that: audio output, no video.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Thanks in advance,
Leo
