I see. But sadly, I had no choice. The download was incomplete and there
were no seeders for weeks. Luckily, the part I wanted (it was a homemade
popfestival recording) was already downloaded, so I had to edit it out of
the vob files :) (dvd:// did not play at all)
Anyway, I noticed the same behaviour recently with a captured ASF stream
that started with timestamps hours into the future. I was unable to -ss
into it. Did not try the lavf demuxer with that file as it wasn't very
important at that moment.
