Please understand that this list only supports non packaged versions of mplayer,
since you say yourself that your selfcompiled versions works, I suggest you
compile svn version for ubuntu.

Are you sure h264 in avi can be played by anything else than an open source
video player (I don't know, but I doubt it).

Please fix your line length!
