[MPlayer-users] mencoder with time intervals

Hi everyone.

I'm working on a front-end for mencoder and it's various options, and
I would like to have an option where a user would grab a video file
(ie. television recording) and then select the parts he wants to
convert, so he could strip out the advertisements for instance.

Is there anyway to do this using paramaters passed through to mencoder?
