[MPlayer-users] Problem with subtitles

I'm having problems with the subtitles on a .mkv file. When I try to load them
with -ass they don't display and I get this error:

[ass] FT_Glyph_To_Bitmap error -1

They load fine without the -ass option.

I'm using MPlayer dev-SVN-r22833-4.0.1, on Mac OS X 10.4.9.

This is the mplayer output regarding the video, audio and subtitle track:
