I never heard of such "intel" driver before. However, I just tried it and this is what I get:

(II) LoadModule: "intel"
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module intel
(II) UnloadModule: "intel"
(EE) Failed to load module "intel" (module does not exist, 0)

I attach my xorg log file using the i810 driver.
