[MPlayer-users] can mplayer broadcast radio?

Hello!

I will be very obliged to you if you inform me whether mplayer is capable of streaming radio over the internet? I am interested in braodcasting radio over the internet without X, so I want to know whether this is possible via the console version.
I searched the documentation, but I could only find info about mplayer used for listening to streams, not broadcasting.
