[MPlayer-users] Problems with mplayer slave and wid

Well I would like a version of mplayer where no hacking is needed. 

I really fail to see how mplayer, if all input is disabled (except
slave), should in any way possible be able to respond to keyboard input.
That is what puzzles me the most and why I think it's a bug.
