[MPlayer-users] Fonts in Mplayer

How do I go about using custom ASS fonts in mplayer as external files? 
Why I'm asking is I have a mkv file what has embedded fonts but mplayer 
is failing to extract them so it complains about not finding the font 
file. The .mplayer/font directory is only for .RAW fonts or something 
strange like that. If it's not the documentation needs updating badly 
then.
