[MPlayer-users] remote control of mplayer

Hi,

the slave mode allows controlling mplayer from another program via a
pipe.

Would it be possible / feasible / practical to implement the same
mechanism over a tcp / udp connection, for example like a telnet
connection?

The functionality should be the same as console input in slave mode,
just so it comes from a network connection.

I would like to do it myself, but I'm currently not so far into c
that I believe this would work ...
