[MPlayer-users] MP4 container question

Hi,

I'm renaming a couple of files (setting filename extension to reflect the 
actual container).  I have a couple of files with mp4 extension (and they 
have h.264/AAC) inside...but when I play them I get:

ISO: File Type Major Brand: ISO/IEC 14496-1 (MPEG-4 system) v2
Quicktime/MOV file format detected.

Is it that these files are actually using the quicktime container  (then I'll 
rename them to .mov) or is it that mplayer shows mp4 as Quicktime/MOV?
