[MPlayer-users] mencoder and .vob files question

-dumpstream, ... is that a valid mencoder.exe switch?  How do I extract a VOB file on a DVD to a VOB file on my HD?  If anyone has any quality suggestions for making that a good transfer please advise :-)  best wishes, Sara.

if you want to keep it as close as possible to the original
dump it with -dumpstream in combination with -chapter,
but it doesn't mean that the original looks good 
(many dvds are encoded like crap and need some post-processing,
often denoising)
