Thanks for the patch, I may try it somedays...
FYI, after testing a while, I found a function that maps pretty well the
slave % volume command: Gain = 20 * volume - 20 (with volume= 0 to 1).
This way, we make sure the gain never exceed 0 (from that value, the
sound is discorded).
